The Energy Masked Ball opened with the presentation of the Future Fuels Alternative Energy Awards. The awards ceremony is designed to honour the region’s alternative fuel innovators and leaders who have made a significant difference in their field of expertise.
Portions of the gala event had to be cancelled due to stormy weather but that did not prevent the nearly 500 guests from enjoying the great atmosphere at The Oyster.
“For many of the guests, it was their first time visiting The Oyster,” said Elie Jubran, General Manager for Marketing at The Pearl-Qatar. “They were extremely impressed with our facilities and by touring The Oyster and the various models on display, they were able to get a taste of the lifestyle that we are offering at The Pearl-Qatar,” he said.
The Energy Masked Ball was the first of many more events to be hosted by The Pearl-Qatar, UDC officials said, revealing that The Oyster will house major international events in the coming months.
The Pearl-Qatar is the largest island in Qatar’s waters. During the two-year land reclamation process, 400 hectares of new land were created with a 32-kilometre shoreline, three coves, and navigable canals in addition to numerous other features.
